Features
- Multiple Models. Perplexity gives you access to many different AI models including advanced models like GPT-5.6 Terra and Nemotron 3 Ultra.
- Unlimited search capabilities. Perplexity's default Best mode—where it automatically chooses an appropriate model for the request—is available without quota limits.
- Cited, source-backed answers. Responses include links to the underlying sources, making it easier to verify a claim, read the original reporting, or compare sources yourself.
- Academic Search. Searching in Academic mode lets you target academic papers and databases rather than general web sources.
- Internal Knowledge Search. Upload up to 100 files per task or 500 files per project, choose which domains to include in your search and connect to external sources with easy-to-use connectors.
- Data Connections. Connect Perplexity to your Texas A&M Microsoft or Google account.
- Perplexity Computer. An autonomous, task-running agent intended for work that takes multiple steps and may run for an extended period. You assign an outcome and it can plan, delegate parts of the job to helper agents, use connected tools, and return the finished result. Your license Includes 500 credits per month.
Terms of Use for Student Purchases
By accessing Texas A&M’s enterprise subscription to Perplexity Enterprise Pro, you agree to the following conditions:
- Eligibility & Access: Access is granted exclusively through your Texas A&M NetID authentication. Your right to access this service is tied directly to your current status as an active student, faculty member, or staff member.
- Status Changes: If you graduate, leave, or end your official employment/enrollment with Texas A&M University, your access to Perplexity Enterprise Pro will end immediately, regardless of any remaining time on the university’s annual subscription license.
- No Refunds: Texas A&M University does not offer partial or prorated refunds for enterprise software access upon departure or graduation.
- Authorized Use: Because Perplexity is a Texas A&M license, it is approved for both work and personal use. You may access Perplexity using a university owned or personal device.
- Data Privacy & Confidentiality: Pursuant to Perplexity Enterprise Pro terms, your searches, chats, uploaded files, and prompt histories are private. Perplexity does not use Enterprise Pro data to train its underlying AI models, nor are your queries accessible by other users.
- Purchase Guidelines: Students can purchase a Perplexity license with a personal credit card at software.tamu.edu. Employees must purchase in the Software Center using a FAMIS account number.
